Dobbins helped Glencliff to the Class 5A state championship game as a sophomore in 1999, rushing for 115 yards and a touchdown on five carries. As a senior, he was named an all-state linebacker and played in the 2002 Tennessee-Kentucky All-Star Game.He played two seasons at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson, Miss., and registered 210 tackles, 13 sacks and four interceptions. He started all 24 games he played at Iowa State, earning Big 12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year honors in 2004 and first-team all-Big 12 recognition in ’05, while finishing with 164 career tackles and four interceptions.
